It was a cloudy and rainy summer Saturday at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. But that didn’t stop me from going to the Alexander McQueen: Celebrate and Create event just for teens. Celebrating the wonderful works of art of a very talented designer, Alexander McQueen, I was able to listen and learn more about what to expect in the exhibition and be able to appreciate his designs more.
The event began with special guest, Tavi, teen fashion blogger. I was able to learn more about her and her famous blog, “Style Rookie.” Throughout the conversation, we were given the opportunity to ask questions to Tavi, and Costume Institute’s Shannon Bell Price. Questions like “What was your favorite design of the exhibition?”, to “What inspires you?”. The time came to thank Tavi and Costume Institute’s Shannon Bell Price, for taking their time in answering our questions. Thinking that the event was over, we were told that now it was time to go to the workshop in where we were able to create out own pieces of art.
